BAKERHICKS APPOINT NEW HEAD OF INDUSTRY

BakerHicks, the multi-disciplinary design, engineering and project delivery company, have appointed Dominik Kobiella to the newly-created role of Head of Industry to further expand the company’s footprint.

BakerHicks have a proven track record working for a number of chemical, manufacturing, infrastructure (energy, power and utilities), and food and beverage businesses across Europe. Their services range from consultancy projects and embedding individual engineers on-site in support of clients’ day-to-day operations, through to the management and delivery of major capital programmes.

As a single point of contact, Dominik will be responsible for supporting and growing the company’s existing client base, alongside developing new opportunities for the Industry business unit, enabling BakerHicks’ core design and engineering skills to be used to maximum effect. Aligning with the corporate strategy to deliver a more integrated service across its European Life Sciences division, the role will also see Dominik working with project and technical teams to ensure efficient and tailored performances for every client.

Dominik’s appointment builds on 20 years’ industry experience, 13 of which are with BakerHicks, previously known as Morgan Sindall Professional Services (MSPS), having joined the business from the Endress+Hausser Group in 2007. Until recently he headed MSPS’ Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls team, and was previously the lead for the company’s Energy sector.

Commenting on his new role, Dominik said: “I am looking forward to supporting our clients in what is a continually evolving marketplace. Our local teams are known for their skills in problem solving, and in such a highly regulated environment, the ability to think creatively and sustainably means we can deliver some of the most exciting projects in the industry.

“BakerHicks’ strengths centre on our heritage in the region and our ability to support clients throughout the entire life cycle. We can quickly respond to projects of any size, bringing subject matter experts to the table when clients need it most. This is an exciting opportunity and I’m looking forward to working more closely with both our clients and teams over the coming months.”

An electrical engineer by trade, Dominik also holds an Masters in Business Administration from the International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef (IUBH). He will be based at BakerHicks’ Basel office.
