BAKERHICKS APPOINT TWO NEW BUSINESS UNIT HEADS FOR D-A-CH REGION

BakerHicks, the multi-disciplinary design, engineering and project delivery company, have appointed two new Business Unit Heads for the D-A-CH region: Christian Eifler, who will support key accounts in the chemicals and industry sectors, and Axel Bach, who will take a similar lead on complex life sciences and international projects.

BakerHicks have a proven track record of working for a number of chemical, manufacturing, life sciences, infrastructure (energy, power and utilities), and food and beverage businesses across Europe. Their services include design and delivery of major capital investments, expert consultancy and embedding individual engineers on-site in support of clients’ day-to-day operation.

Christian has over 25-years’ expertise in supporting and delivering solutions for a range of complex process and manufacturing capital expenditure challenges and is well known for his technical innovation. An experienced leader, he specialises in directing multi-disciplined teams on mid to large capital projects through the full project lifecycle, from feasibility through to final handover.

A Mechanical/Process Engineer by profession, Christian’s experience spans many of the world’s most respected chemical, pharmaceutical and industrial companies. This experience will be invaluable in supporting BakerHicks’ clients’ most challenging projects.

Axel has a similarly impressive track record, specifically in life sciences, successfully leading capital projects and managed service frameworks for globally respected companies. He has spent over 20 years in the industry, rising from project engineer through to portfolio manager and project director for major programmes. He brings extensive end-to-end expertise, delivering multi-million euro projects from initial consultancy through to final handover and managing teams of over 50 engineers on multiple sites at any one time.

Like Christian, Axel is a Mechanical/Process Engineer by profession and has excellent portfolio management skills. Both return to BakerHicks after spending 18 months with other pharmaceutical engineering businesses.

Commenting on their appointments Mark Dickson, Managing Director for Life Sciences and Industry at BakerHicks, says: “I am pleased to welcome both Christian and Axel back to our growing business. We have known both for many years and they have established reputations for their commitment to clients’ needs and expertise in their respective fields. Through their qualifications and application, both speak our clients’ language and understand the challenging environments in which they work. They bring vital experience for our clients in markets that demand knowledge, trust and certainty.”

Both Christian and Axel will be based at BakerHicks’ Basel headquarters office.
